  • Sophomore studio album from English singer-songwriter, Elvis Costello. This Year's Model was originally recorded between 1977 and 1978 at London's Eden Studios. It was Costello's first album with the Attractions after recording his debut with California's Clover. The results were more complex and dynamic than his debut. The guitar-centric sound was done away with in favor of the Attractions' drums, bass and keyboard backing. Costello is lyrically on point as well, delivering lines that would cement his reputation as the world's foremost angry geek with something to prove. Includes the songs: "Pump It Up," "(I Don't Want to Go to) Chelsea," and "Lipstick Vogue." Twelve tracks in all. Released by UMe on 180 gram vinyl.
