Such a classic, classic jam! If ESP's "It's You" does not reach you in some way please get yourself some therapy. For a relatively obscure 80s Chicago house track it delivers in spades. Emotive strings, sub heavy bass line and expert level drum programming lay the foundation for the somewhat amateur yet intimate vocals. ESP (Essential Sound Productions) was created by Chicago DJ Tommy Thumbs in the mid 80s. He started experimenting with drum machines and synths, eventually turning to childhood friend Daniel Ellington to round out his productions. In the end the made the enduring house classic, "It's You." Recommended.
