Deep & jazzy Chicago house stylings from the inimitable Glenn Underground. Not anywhere near the top of our list of G.U. records that need a reissue (and it’s a very long list), but any slab of Chicago’s Very Own is always welcome in our bag. Originally given a limited promo-only release in 2010 and already fetching over $100 second hand, this full reissue from Italian house revivalists Groovin Recordings should be a breath of fresh air for all house lovers worldwide. “Moog Vibrations” is a splendid slice of jazzy, free-form deep house with C.V.O. effortlessly playing - yup, you guessed it - a Moog over the top. Flip it over for some Omar-S-meets-Robert Fripp acid prog night drive business on “Urban Flight To Atoner”. Groovin are on a roll this year, lacing us with some clutch Kerri Chandler and Blaze reissues, so here’s to hoping they do up some more Glenn Underground essentials.
