Reissue of Claire Boucher AKA Grimes’ second full-length! Halifax was originally released on CD in 2010 and overseas-only 2LP in 2011, and this 2016 pressing is very exciting news for stateside fans. The album features the same black-and-white, manga-inspired illustration (courtesy of Grimes, as always) that covered the 2011 vinyl release, and although two tracks are omitted ("∆∆∆∆Rasik∆∆∆∆" and "Heartbeats”), the gloomy, avant-garde pop sensibilities that drive Grimes’ heartfelt sound are all present in tracks like “Dream Fortress,” “Devon,” and “My sister Says The Saddest Things.” Digital download included.
