Collaborative debut studio album from US indie folk band Sun Kil Moon and UK experimental act Jesu. The eponymous full length was first hinted at by Sun Kil Moon frontman Mark Kozelek in an interview from early 2015, then later confirmed by Jesu's Justin Broderick later that year. Formed from a long-standing relationship between the two frontmen, Jesu/Sun Kil Moon finds Kozelek experimenting with his voice - yelling, howling, and at times screaming his signature stream of consiousness style lyrics over the crunchy distorted guitars and soft drums that are Broderick's forte. The entire listen remains reflective and emotional throughout, with a little help from an all-star cast of guest musicians including Will Oldham, members of Low, Slowdive's Rachel Goswell, and Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock. Includes "Good Morning My Love," "Homesick," "Carondelet," "A Song Of Shadows," and more. Double vinyl in gatefold sleeve.
