Escape From New York is made up primarily of Carpenter's original compositions, heavy doses of analog synths and building tension. This is classic Carpenter style, minimal but so effective. The music is tense and ominous, built largely of simple, repetitive figures. Released by Silva Screen on 180 gram double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
