  • Jarad Higgins aka Juice WRLD played piano, drums, and guitar growing up in Chicago, and he was introduced to Billy Idol, Fall Out Boy, Megadeath, Black Sabbath, Blink 182 & more through video games, e.g., Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Guitar Hero. Picking up freestyling in high school, he'd pull influences from Chicago's drill scene (Lil Durk, Chief Keef, etc.), and Goodbye & Good Riddance, JW's debut studio album, is a manifestation of his musical DNA. Bearing his heart & emotions over blown-out trap beats, Juice details the mostly dark sides of breakups ("I'm just trying to make music to help people through their situations and tell them about some of my own. It's all genuine…"), and tracks like "Lucid Dreams," "Wasted," and "All Girls Are the Same" best represent the rapper-singer's mopey style.
