Have you seen La La Land? Asked everyone. After doing major damage in the box office and picking up 14 Oscar nominations, the musical rom-com starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone is shaping up to be the biggest film of 2016. And as anyone who's seen the movie will tell you, the dance-song sequences are really the highlights, which is where the importance of this excellent soundtrack comes into play. Composed by Justin Hurwitz who also scored Whiplash, the upbeat, playful jazz/show tune 15-tracker is the perfect companion to the on-screen love story between Sebastian and Mia, and man, had no idea that RG (he supposedly studied keyboard, song and dance for the role) and ES could sing! Numbers to check out: "Another Day of Sun," "Someone In The Crowd," "Mia & Sebastian's Theme," "A Lovely Night," "City of Stars," and "Epilogue."
