There's Never Been No One Like You. One of the harder to find West End's finally gets the official reissue treatment, courtesy of Get On Down! Kenix's sole release is a soulful boogie disco killer of the highest caliber, a super sought-after piece that keeps getting better with time (it was even recently covered by Blue Hawaii). Originally released on 12" in 1980, "There's Never Been (No One Like You)" finds producer Kenton Nix on the top of his game (following work on Taana Gardner disco anthems "Works That Body" and "Heartbeat") with an infectious disco arrangement topped in the signature West End style. This 2018 pressing features a short and edited version of the track on 45. Recommended.
