Before blowing up with Kendrick and Stones Throw, Glen Boothe was already dropping jewels as Knxwledge on All City. Klouds was his debut release from 2010 and here's what we had to say when it was originally released: All City uncovers another beat talent in Philly(!) based Knxwledge. You may have heard some of his stuff on Mary Anne Hobbs' show, but if you haven't: don't adjust your stereos. Knxwledge's signature style features off-time snares, sloppily cut loops, and unusual rhythms. Yeah, it's been done before, but Knxwledge breathes it in all the way. By the time, your into beat #5 of 15, you'll start hearing things the way he does. This release revisits the rawness that got people excited about the new beats scene several years back. 15 beat sketches in Loop Digga fashion, plus great cover artwork featuring abstract paintings. 2015 repress.
