To celebrate the game's 30th anniversary, Mondo has gone ahead and released an official pressing of the original Castlevania by Konami Kukeiha Club (aka the Konami sound staff). All the epic chiptune goodness from the original 1986 Nintendo/Famicom carts has been lovingly pressed in to the grooves so you can relive all the 8-bit vampire hunting adventures from your childhood. The first Castlevania is easily one of the most iconic horror video games of all time (helping kick off a long running franchise that continues to this day), and the soundtrack is just as legendary. Just listen to the sound samples and be prepared for nostalgia overload. If you spent half as much time growing up in front of a NES as I did, you need this in your life.
