Lab Overview

Latin jazz meets the late 60's way-out sound for the Lebron Brothers debut. Originally released in 1967 on the short-lived Cotique label (acquired by Latin heavyweight label Fania in '71), Psychedelic Goes Latin features some of the "weirdest sounds ever cut in Latin dance music" waxes Cotique label head George Goldner. Goldner goes on to say "no one has ever dared to produce this sound in Latin Music in the past, but I felt the time had come to do it as all past records had the same sounds." Psychedelic Goes Latin opened up a new era in Latin music, and songs like "Summertime Blues," "Tall Tale," "Mary, Mary," and "My Cool Boogaloo" are sonic fireworks in this eclectic production. 8 tracks in all. Released on Get On Down.
