Cohen recorded parts of You Want It Darker at his home in Los Angeles while suffering from multiple spine fractions, and emailed his parts to several collaborators to flesh out. The resulting album is remarkably intimate, even for Cohen's standards, with tracks more stripped down and sparse than other recent recordings. Includes "On The Level" and "You Want It Darker"; nine tracks altogether. A heartbreaking final transmission from a truly gifted and unique soul; file this one next to Donuts and Blackstar.
