This one is gonna be big this summer! Mermaids are a Glasgow based band that have been releasing live slo-mo disco for labels like Foto, A Friend In Need and Non Local over the past few years. Who's That Girl, their debut for Glasgow Underground, finds them taking a different track. The one to look for is "Causing A Commotion" (aka "Who's That Girl"), which takes a Madonna sample and works it to death. Looped up properly, filtered in all the right places, it's catchy and effective, bound to turn any dancefloor out. Serious good times. Things get a bit deeper with "A Pale Wolf," a track who's pensive chords and jacking beat are already getting played by Jackmaster, amongst others. The EP closes out with "Callisto," a broken groove rework of Candido's "Jingo." Limited press, get yours before they're gone.
