Operation: Doomsday is now available on a series of deluxe 45s, and here is "The Mic," with "The Mystery Of Doom" & "Dead Bent." The beat samples Eric B. & Rakim's "Microphone Fiend" while MF DOOM shares the story of his tail chase, and it's been confirmed by the rapper that the song is an explanation of how he ended up in prison. Flip the record over for the Isaac Hayes-sampling "Dead Bent" (love his singing in the beginning of the song), and "They Mystery Of Doom," the last skit/interlude from Operation: Doomsday. Full color picture sleeve w/ artwork by Lord Scotch who designed the cover for the album, each cover fits like a puzzle with other 7" release to form a larger DOOM image.
