The self taught musician offers 12 tracks of personal experiences captured in his rural upbringing. However, sometimes surreal in the pictures painted with his lyrics, Hurley's approach stands in its own universe. Just like many of Folkways recordings have done, the recordings truly capture a part of the American soul and has gone on to influence countless musicians since.
