  • Extremely hard to find soul disco from enigmatic soul singer Milton Wright. Most of us are familiar with Wright's steppers anthem "Keep It Up" and, thanks to Athens Of The North, his debut album Friends And Buddies. Less known, and even harder to find, is his sophomore full length Spaced. It's one of those rare pieces that's been talked about far more than it's been heard. Slated to be released on T.K. Records' Alston imprint, the album was overlooked due to the superstar status that was beginning to dawn on label mates KC & the Sunshine Band. To make this an even harder to find release, the shelved copies were destroyed in a warehouse fire. Fortunately the record is getting a chance at a second life as there's plenty to dig into. Uptempo disco, classic soul dance, funk and boogie can be found all over the album. An essential for all the soul disco fans out there.
