It can be done but only Alex Smith can do it! If I'm being real, I wasn't super hot on AOS's last album (The Best!, 2016) save for a few standout tracks, but this one's got me all fucked up. You want the best - Farrakhan, French Kiss, $120,000 imports, ambiguous gang references, acid, blown out drums, live drums, liquor store clowning, parking lot pimping - it’s all here, with John FM fast becoming modern house music’s premiere vocalist in the process (who saw this coming?). Omar-S is flexing every muscle he's been bulking up since starting FXHE 20 years ago, and there's definitely a little bit of something for everyone here, but may I suggest "Second Life," "Don't Get In My Way," "Oops," "Coming Home Mum" and the title track. Spread out on four LPs with full color artwork, it's a little pricey but the bangers-to-dollars ratio is highly economical. Recommended, and watch out for the fog...
