What happens when it appears that you've disappeared? When you've become something like a ghost. You can still see everything, but no one can see you. You've become one with the mist, just floating through the air everyone breaths. Ever present, but never present. There are the kind of questions I want to ask oOoOO. He seemed to be at the top of the whole "witch house" thing, but then everyone stopped talking about it and started worrying about trap. oOoOO's Christopher Dexter Greenspan did not stop making music, though. He continued to explore the darker, goth tinged side of pasty dudes making dirty south afflicted beats. The San Francisco based producer has proven that there's something that can be conjured out of the fog that plagues his fine city. On Without Your Love he's turned to vocalists for inspiration and gotten some intriguing results. Some pitch shifted and stretched to their limits. Others kept nearly intact. Some may speculate that Greenspan is trying to take a turn towards a more pop oriented sound, but I would beg to differ. The producer is tweaking what we see has pop to fit his own twisted vision of music. Here's to oOoOO for sticking to his guns and leading us to the dark side.
