With Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Animal Collective, Silver Jews) in the producer seat, the Montreal, Canada band presents a bolder, more nuanced album, and it explores themes like identity, connection, and "survival in a precarious world," over vibraphone, synths, drum machines, and a 70-piece choir. Check out "Disgraced in America," "These 3 Things," "Desire," and "Brief Shield."
