Originally released on their '92 debut Mecca & The Soul Brother, "T.R.O.Y." is a tribute to the duo's late friend Trouble T-Roy, with C.L. Smooth displaying masterful storytelling raps over a timeless beat by Pete Rock (with that earworm of a Tom Scott sax sample). Essential stuff and easily one of the most enduring and memorable tracks from the era. "Straighten It Out" featured on the flip. Pic sleeve. Recommended.
