Lab Overview

Pride was the lone, relatively obscure self-titled collaboration between David Axelrod and his son Michael released in 1970. Almost conceptual in form, the album can best be described as a blend between psychedelic pop and Baroque folk-rock with Mexican folk themes. It features Nooney Rickett of Love and the dual vocals give an almost airy feeling. While this album doesn't have quite the production punch indicative of Axe's solo albums, his deft touch is clearly evident throughout. For fans of Love, Ultimate Spinach and The Byrds. 8 songs in total, released by Get On Down.
