2nd album from Andre Allen Anjos aka RAC! With 2014's well received full-length Strangers and a GANG of remixes (some Grammy winning…) under his belt, the Portland-by-way-of-Portugal producer turns in yet another impressive project: breezy, melodic, and upbeat, the 14 dance pop tracks on Ego could easily soundtrack any summer activity. There is another layer to the uplifting facade, however, and that is what differentiates the songs on this LP from others of similar style. Anjos writes deeper, emotional, and reflective material that he cushions into the bright, bouncy beats, and he enlists the help of guests like Rivers Cuomo, MNDR, St. Lucia, Rostam, and Jordan Corey to express them. Check out the lead single "I Still Wanna Know," "This Song," "The Beautiful Game," "Heartbreak Summer," and "Unusual." This is the limited clear vinyl pressing, 500 copies only and includes a four-panel poster plus digital download code.
