Score to the cult classic horror film! Stuart Gordon's 1985 movie based on the H.P. Lovecraft story "Herbery West – Re-Animator" was an instantly made its mark on the science fiction horror genre. Even Roger Ebert was impressed when he saw it! Since then it's become a cult classic with help from fans of Jeffrey Combs (who stars as Herbert West) and H.P. Lovecraft, extreme gore, and the combination of horror and comedy. The score's composer, Richard Howard Band, has scored more than 70 films. His work for Re-Animator is dark and direct, giving the film an intense and eerie atmosphere, with a lighthearted touch. It's a mix of synth drive beats and more orchestral moments. Instantly recognizable amongst fans, and pays tribute to composer Bernard Herman (Psycho, Taxi Driver, Citizen Kane, Cape Fear).
