Ryan Hemsworth has developed somewhat of a reputation for spending a lot of time by himself. His constant touring has made him more familiar with mini shampoo sets than normal human interaction. It seems that the Halifax native's time is spent talking to his MacBook and checking his social media notifications while on the road in between gigs. Alone For The First Time captures the producers despair while welcoming you into his world with open arms. His penchant for sampling is in full effect. It's something you notice immediately as the strings that open "Hurt Me" sweep you into the song's micro world. While previous releases from Hemsworth may have led you to put him into the trap or EDM folder, this album highlights his diversity. Collaborators include Lontalius, Dawn Golden, The GTW and Little Cloud.
