This one highlights the funkier side of what is arguably the funkiest New York disco label of all time. Take a stroll through Spanish Harlem with Joe Bataan (the originator of the term Salsoul!) and his stellar instrumental rendition of Gil Scott Heron’s “The Bottle,” then head down below the equator with Gary Criss on “Rio De Janeiro.” Also includes Skyy’s ultimate 10pm warm-up joint “High,” Salsoul Orchestra’s “Salsoul Hustle,” and four other bombs. These are all the full-length 12” disco mixes; DJ-friendly double vinyl pressing with two joints per side.
