Wind, waves, wine glasses. Seaside Lovers' now legendary Memories In Beach House gets a long overdue vinyl reissue! Originally released in 1983, the collaborative effort by Hiroshi Sato, Akira Inoue, and Masataka Matsutoya delivers mellow J-fusion undulations and island vibrations, that recently enjoyed an uptick in popularity thanks to Youtube algorithms and the proliferation of vaporwave aesthetics (I would even go so far as to call this the OG a e s t h e t i c). The entire album takes smoothness to a whole 'nother level (it feels like an audible vacation) with highlights including "Evening Shadows," "X's And O's," the neo-exotica vibes of "Lovers Paradise," and the uber-breezy "Melting Blue." Original copies are hard to come by even in Japan. This official 2024 import comes with an obi strip and giant foldout poster. Recommended!
- 180g black vinyl pressing
- high-quality Japan import
- includes obi strip + giant foldout poster
- original release year: 1983
- music label: Great Tracks / Sony Japan 2024
