  • The Beatles' Yesterday And Today, complete with the infamous "butcher" cover repressed! One of the most sought after Beatles' records due to it's controversial and rare nature, now available on green marble vinyl. Original versions of this record (with this cover) are next to non-existant and fetch exuberant prices at auction when they surface (a sealed mono version fetched $40 grand back in 2006!). The reason for the record's scarcity lies in the fact that copies with this cover never actually made it out to the public back in 1966 during its original release. As the story goes, advance copies were sent to DJ's and record reviewers who immediately responded with negative feedback to the cover (depicting the Beatles dressed as butches with dismembered baby doll parts). Capitol then recalled all the copies (around 750,000) from distributors to replace the cover, a costly move that subsequently created a costly record! Aside from the cover, the music remains the same and includes classics like "Drive My Car," "Nowhere Man," "Yesterday," "We Can Work It Out," and more. Limited stock.
