  • It was 1998 and Daft Punk had by now been on MTV for two years with their runaway singles 'Around The World' and 'Da Funk'. With Thomas Bangalter releasing the first in the Trax On Da Rocks EPs a few years earlier, the sound transformed to the more familiar DJ Sneak-esque sound with volume two. Again opening the EP with a Filter House groover in 'Club Soda', Vol. Two immediately heats things up with 'Extra Dry' which a young J Dilla sampled for Slum Village's 'Raise It Up' a little while later. If you are a fan of Daft Punk, DJ Sneak, and Paul Johnson then this is exactly for you. Recommended.
