  • "Don't You Know There Ain't No Devil? Only God When He's Drunk." Originally released in 1980, Heartattack And Vine is Tom Waits' seventh and final album for the Asylum label, following up 1978's Blue Valentine. Waits once again proves his genius lyric writing capability (even during a stylistic shift - read: electric guitar) on several notable tracks, including the title song ("Heartattack And Vine"), "Jersey Girl" (as often covered by The Boss live), and "On The Nickel" (originally recorded for the Ralph Waite film of the same name). The album also acts as a sort of farewell to the bluesy lounge sound of Waits' previous albums, and a foreshadow of the eccentric experimentation that would occur on later works.

    • 180g clear vinyl pressing
    • newly remastered audio
    • includes printed insert
    • limited edition
    • music label: Anti- 2018
