Tycho's debut now on wax! You're probably familiar with Tycho's lush take on downtempo, he seems to have hit a chord with Boards of Canada's fan base. Ghostly, who were responsible for releasing his latest, dive into the Brooklyn producer's back catalog and give us the first vinyl release of Past Is Prologue. Originally released in 2004 as Sunrise Projector on Gammaphone, Miami's Merck reissued the album with a few extra tracks in 2006. And it's easy to see why 3 labels would want to have a hand in releasing this music. It's easily accessible, relatively soothing and touches on sonic textures that we're all familiar with. You'll have to forgive the BOC reference, but it's all there. The tones, the pacing, even the notes and the scales. If your copy of Music Has The Right To Children has seen better days then definitely get your hands on Past Is Prologue. You wont be disappointed.
