  • Record Store Day Exclusive. Medical Records is back with another super rare reissue just for RSD BLK FRI 2016. This time its Video Liszt's 1981 obscurity Ektakröm Killer that gets its first ever repress! From the label - The artist behind Video Liszt was Xol, a French journalist and musician. Commanding a multitude of analog synthesizers, Moog modulars, an EMS vocoder, and an Apple Two computer, Xol crafted a very diverse album with styles ranging from sci-fi synth soundtracks, prog, space disco, and all the way to more accessible electropop. The album was produced by Richard Pinhas (Heldon, Moogi-Le-Moog) and recorded in Pinhas’s Studio Ramsès. Pinhas contributes guitar as well. Also of interest was that Jean-Louis Rizet (from French space rock group Pôle) engineered the record! Lovers of Einzelgänger, Jean-Michael Jarre, Kraftwerk, as well as late period Heldon will be head over heels with this hidden gem. Original copies have become very collectible and expensive in the secondhand record market. Presented on high quality 180gram classic black vinyl with the original reproduction artwork and bonus insert with the original artwork from the 1981 release’s inner sleeve.
