Lab Overview

In 2007, hip-hop albums on vinyl were battling 12"s, CDs and Serato for relevance... and losing. Perhaps that's why this Y Society vinyl version is so very rare. 2nd hand copies have sold for over $200 (currently $150 is the cheapest on Discogs). Musically, Damu The Fudgemunk and Insight built a brick fortress within one of the worst years in hip-hop history (literally). The throwback flow (kinda like an east coast J5) mixed with beats that you want the instrumentals for (it exists!), was in such sharp contrast to Kanye's Graduation, 50, Fab and CHINGY. Highlights include "Never Off (On & On)," "This Advice," "How Many Of Us?," and "Scientist."
