Lab Overview

Awesome batch of pop and rock edits from down under. For this EP, Young Edits (aka Australia's River & Phoenix) reconfigure jams from Joy Division, The Cure, Cat Power, and The Pixies to work the discerning dancefloor. A quick listen to "She's Lost Control" and "Why Can't I Be You" and you can tell this isn't a simple cut and paste job. Instead, the duo carefully rework the tracks with deep slo-mo house and balearic elements to totally move the crowd. A Similar treatment is given to The Pixies' "Where Is My Mind," and Cat Power's "Maybe Not." Schmooove and effective.
