However, the album would go on to be credited as the birth of heavy metal as we know it. It marks the point when heavy metal became distinct from rock and roll in its own deep and sinister way. Amazingly, the album was recorded in one day! Includes the songs: "Black Sabbath," "The Wizard," "N.I.B.," and "Wicked World."
