  • Breakout release from Melbourne's Andras Fox. Andras delivers a rare strain of house music, equally deep as it is sincere, with a lo-fi vibe that takes influence from ambient new age as well as boogie funk. Using a limited array of vintage synths and drum machines (equipment listed on the back cover), Fox is able to recreate the vibe of early Metro Area (check "After The Rain"), or early 90's house naiveté ("Running Late" and "What They Say") with vocalist Oscar Key. Maybe it's something in the water down under, but the sound is definitely a refreshing change of pace. Pic sleeve, recommended.
