The Painters was recorded during the sessions for 2016's Painting With and shares some sonic sensibilities with that album. There are playful vocal exchanges that morph into surreal pop passages as the samples are piled on top of each other. The standout here is their cover of Martha & the Vandellas' "Jimmy Mack," delivered in delirious fashion. Four tracks in all. Released by Domino on black vinyl housed in a full color sleeve with a printed inner sleeve and digital download.
