  • Finally repressed! If you missed it back when it was originally dropped in 2013, consider this your second chance. Aquarian Foundation nailed it with the Silent Teaching EP as a whole, but it's almost worth it just for the lead "Mystery Track." If you could capture the energy of a banging underground warehouse/basement party into a single track, this would be it. Raw AF drums, overblown bass, and a vibe that just don't quit. Every time I played this out, someone would come trainspotting - it's just that kind of track. There's actually plenty more to the EP with tracks like "Dream Of the Red Chamber" that take it deeper into the abyss, the smoked out rave harem vibes of "Caravan of Dreams," or the lo-fi tech glitch of "Hardtalk." Original pressings of this 12" fetch loot on the second hand market, so cop the nice-price reissue while it lasts (which won't be long). Recommended.
