Recorded at the Village Vanguard NYC on June 25th 1961, this expanded set includes every note from both the afternoon and evening sessions spread over 4 LPs of jazz genius. Here Bill Evans, along with Scott LaFaro on bass, and Paul Motian on drums, are at the top of their game, displaying uncanny interplay and mind-blowing improvisational work. 26 tracks in all. Recommended.
