  • One of our favorite jazz fusion releases of the last few years, repressed on 180g vinyl! The UK trio consisting of keyboardist Jack Stephenson Oliver, bassist Cameron Dawson, and drummer Dougal Taylor hit the scene in 2017 with Yellow Ochre. This excellent debut EP fuses spacey synthesizers, polyrhythmic hip-hop drumming, and funky basslines into hypnotizing, yet soulful jazz-funk jams. Although the record was out of print while the band’s profile soared, Rhythm Section International have thankfully reissued this gem with a new bonus track that didn't appear on previous pressings. We can once again enjoy the fuzzed-out bass and eerie mellotron on “Godzilla” or the cool saxophone improvisations that Shabaka Hutchings graces us with on the track “40 Point” back on wax. 6 tracks on black 180g vinyl, recommended.

    • out-of-print debut EP from London jazz fusion trio
    • 180g black vinyl pressing
    • first time on vinyl since 2017
    • 2020 version includes exclusive bonus track
    • music label: Rhythm Section International 2020
