Disco for those who know. Joel Martin and Garry Rooney return as Velvet Season & The Hearts of Gold for their second release on Resista and it's a doozy. Check the epic sensations of "Long Black" if you wanna take the disco vibe deeper than most. Seriously sounds like a DJ Harvey secret weapon, or maybe something they'd drop at the Loft. Flipside kills it too with the gritty disco funk rock of "Love Generation" complete with soaring organ solo that takes it over the top. Play loud on a proper system and have a transcendent experience on the dancefloor. Recommended.
