Certain songs or albums are so strikingly unique, you can remember the first time you heard them. I clearly remember the first time I heard "Black Dog" (at Charlie's mini-ramp), "Mirror In The Bathroom" (on the way to a tae kwon do tournament at MSG), "The Queen Is Dead" (in my bedroom, of course)... and "Blister In The Sun" (in my older cousin's Prelude). The slipshod acoustic work and the heavily tormented vocals could be a definition for "alternative music." I won't bore you with personal feelings about the individual tracks (you probably have your own already), but you gotta know "Please Don't Go, Add It Up, Gone Daddy Gone," and "Good Feeling."
