  • Two roots stingers from The Wailing Souls’ time at Studio One “Trouble Maker” was recorded sometime in the 70s but not released until 1982’s Soul & Power comp; it’s a unique uptempo cut that weaves a floating flute line (?) into the group’s peerless vocal harmonies over a pressurized bass line, oozing with soul. “Run My People” appeared on 1975’s self-titled LP, it’s similarly upbeat with dope instrumentation and an anthemic hook. Surprised neither of these ever appeared on 45 or 12” until now, cut nice and loud at 45 RPM housed in Soul Jazz Studio One disco sleeve, recommended.

    • black vinyl pressing
    • plays at 45 RPM
    • 2 rare album cuts first time on 12" single format
    • housed in die-cut Soul Jazz disco sleeve
    • music label: Soul Jazz Records 2020
