  • Sought after self released spiritual jazz from World's Experience Orchestra. Recorded in 1975 and 1980, both The Beginning Of A New Birth and As Time Flows are the essence of underground spiritual jazz. The first album, recorded in a Boston church's basement, is a multi layered affair. Visionary bassist/composer/arranger John Jamyll Jones seems to speak through his ensemble as much as his own instrument. His uplifting compositions may have been out of time with jazz's trajectory, but that lends both of these albums a timeless quality. Original copies of both albums are known to catch astronomical prices on the used market so it's great to see them available together for the first time. Eight tracks in all. Released by Now-Again Records on double vinyl housed in a numbered limited edition extra-thick "tip on" gatefold jacket with a booklet and digital download of the albums.

    • numbered limited edition
