  • First Daft Punk, now Boards Of Canada. The first half of 2013 has been all about the masterfully orchestrated, slow-reveal album drop. It can be argued that Boards fans are more rabid than Daft Punk fans. If Daft Punk fans binge watch Game Of Thrones, then Boards fans savor the books while keeping the covers in mint condition. There's something revelatory about their music: it lulls you into hypnotic states with texture and beats, conjuring dystopian scenes that play out in your frontal lobe. Tomorrow's Harvest thankfully does not diverge from the path established by their previous 7 or so records. Drums melt into bass, bass melts into synths... sprinkle with crackles and distorted mystery snippets collected over the years. The duo, unlike many of their peers, have aged gracefully. Recommended.

    • black double vinyl pressing
    • hosed in gatefold jacket w/ printed inner sleeves
