Pixies rule! Bossanova is awesome! Put the McRib on the permanent menu! Yadda-yadda, Bossanova is like what Siamese Dream did for the Pumpkins, everything except for the mainstream crossover. It was a pop-like entry hole for all the other college kids to jump into and roll around in. Like every Pixies album, it's best listened to as a whole (it retains that short song punk format), but it does include some of my favorite Pixes tunes evah like "Velouria" (although the Weezer cover might be better), the bottomed-out "Stormy Weather," Frank-bansheed "Rock Music," the best song about girls named Allison, "Allison” and the happy shroom closer "Havalina." But really, I used to love the McRib as a kid, but they are gross now. Remastered vinyl reissue.
