"The XA B continues Pro-Ject's tradition of acrylic base turntables. Acrylic has both aesthetic + sonic virtues, including anti-resonance. However, through Pro-Ject's experience with the material, the company has learned to balance the characteristic (avoiding over-dampening) as seen with the inclusion of complementary aluminum components. The "B" in XA B refers to the turntable's balanced output which is achieved through the inclusion of the first ever balanced MM cartridge, the Pro-Ject Pick It Pro MM." - TTL
