Lab Overview

This one's been causing quite a stir! Paranoid London has been turning out gritty, acid infused 12 inches for the past few years. The limited releases tend to sell out rather quickly and end up fetching absurd prices on the secondary market. It's repetitive drum machine and bass music that is perfectly primed for DJs to beat to smithereens. Somehow the duo of Gerardo Delgado and Quinn Whalley has got the formula all figured out. Throw in vocals from Mutado Pintado (NYC), Paris Brightledge (Chicago) & DJ Genesis (Detroit) and there's not much more you can ask for. This is hardware music for a pitch black, dark and dirty backroom, and they've pushed the classic formula about as far out there as you can go. I can't imagine a more perfect environment for it. Paranoid London throw on a few of their harder to find tracks, like "Transmission 5" and "Eating Glue," and include some new ones as well. The sought after "Paris Dub 1" and "Paris Dub 2" are followed up with the new, and just as good, "Paris Dub 3." They edge towards a more Chicago house-inspired sound with the emotional and timeless "Lovin U (Ahh Shit)." With one listen it's easy to see why the hype is there. Real EBM, one for the heads. Get your grubby mitts on this one before you're scouring Discogs in hope of a fair price. Recommended.
