  • Classic classic classic material! It's hard to believe that this is the first time that Kruder & Dorfmeister's genre defining K&D Sessions has ever been repressed on vinyl. This is one of those mixes that you could practically break your CD player with. The 1998 release collected original tracks, dubs and remixes by Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister, presented in expertly mixed fashion. The overall vibe is bass heavy and downbeat, but there is a wide variety of material to dig into. The whole thing is an exquisite listen from end to end, so good that you'll want to restart it from the top once it's finished. It's a mix that I definitely spent a good amount of time with a little while after it first came out. And it all comes back to me, from the start of Kruder's Long Loose Bossa mix of Roni Size's "Heroes," to getting a little annoyed with Justin Warfield's corniness on the Bomb The Bass track, the one two punch of the K&D Sessions of the Rockers Hi-Fi cut and Depeche Mode's "Useless" (anyone wanna send ya boy the UK pressing of that 12"?). There's so much more to get into and it's well worth the price of admission. Excellent after hours material. Recommended.
