  • It's been about 4 years since we've heard some solo material from Burial, but he's finally back on wax with this new 12" on Kode9's Hyperdub imprint. It wasn't like dude was completely silent since 2007's Untrue (he's been collaborating with big names like Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Four Tet), but Street Halo marks a triumphant return to the solo production. The title track features the signature moody and atmospheric style that Burial has truly mastered (and has been so influential on the bass scene). Flipside features the stripped down emotion of "NYC" and the beautiful melodies of "Stolen Dog." Recommended.

    • black vinyl 12" pressing
    • housed in die-cut Hyperdub sleeve
    • music label: Hyperdub 2011
